I have many years of experience in working with a variety of animals and a deep affection for dogs. I believe animals are our most valued teachers and should be held with the utmost regard and treated with both dignity and respect! My animal journey started in rural Ireland whilst living abroad, I had the privilege of caring for many dogs, cows, sheep, and a horse on the property I resided during my seven years of living in the Irish countryside. This is where my deep affection for horses began. Through my recent experience of catering to boarding pitbull rescues, I've come to realize that I possess a unique gift in connecting, giving direction and showing leadership with traumatized pitbulls. I hold a particular fondness for these negatively stigmatized sweet hearts. Each of the pitty rescues I've had the privilege of knowing and caring for have built an incredible bond of deep mutual trust and affection for one another and they happen to be expert cuddlers! I'm currently training to become an equine facilitated learning practitioner specializing in horse communication. My primary professional experience with animals is in the area of animal integrated healing with goats and horses. It would be an absolute privilege to care for your doggie in my home. My husband and our baby boy Abu, who is the most affectionate, lovable and intuitive two year old staffy mix pitbull terrier would be absolutely thrilled to host your dog!

Hey there! I am a major animal lover, I grew up surrounded by dogs and worked at a doggy daycare as a supervisor for over two years, so I have acquired a lot of dog behavior and care experience. I graduated from Knox College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (focus on animal conservation) and Asian Studies (focus on film photography and mandarin)! I have two cats, a bearded dragon, and a leopard gecko keeping me company at home. <3 I am super active and play Ultimate Frisbee and Paintball professionally so I love the opportunity to walk a dog in my downtime! I hope to one day return to school for a Masters in Animal Behavior and Training! Fun fact, I once researched Asian elephant conservation in Thailand and got to hang out with elephants all day every day. I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend!

Hi, I'm Jenny and I have the best job in the world (for me) caring for pets. I was a pet parent to two teeny senior dogs (both now passed) for about a decade. I'm now mom to a trio of felines named Reason, Mercy and Justice. All were rescued at very young ages in the spring of '24, with three weeks between each Gotchu Day, from outside the house where I resided at the time. I've lived in a few different towns in Michigan. Port Huron is my hometown; Detroit is my adopted city since mid-2021. Pet Care Companion was birthed almost a year after that move. In addition to my little cat family, I'm blessed to have some other loving families: the one I was born into, my family of fellow Christ followers, and my family of fellow volunteers at Brightmoor Connection Food Pantry.
